Escaping the corporate world, that was my vision! Can I do it? That was the question? 

MASTIKA'S STORY 

With 3 young children, this was the opportunity to stay close to my family, my home and the community. I decided to leave my corporate job of 13 years and venture out on my own! It was challenging times as Covid had just reared its head. It was also a time for change and a chance to embrace new opportunities. 

The decision to open a gelato bar with no gelato experience was unsettling.  I was however, surrounded by an abundance of support from my husband and family who have many successful years in hospitality. The ability to prioritise my children whilst contributing to my community was empowering and a dream come true!

Introducing an alluring new world of flavours inspired from the Mediterranean. Using traditional methods to create a creamy and beautifully balanced treat that's sure to put a smile on everyone's face. Our decor is vibrant, colourful and fun.

Now, close your eyes and think of Gelato... allow your mind to free its inner child and escape to an ice cream jungle of colour...

That’s when

“Mastika - ice cream jungle of colour” 

was born. 

Our formula is simple - we at Mastika are dedicated to creating high quality, home made gelato. We use traditional and culturally inspired flavours from the Mediterranean, as we work to take you on a journey, bringing a part of my east to your east! Our work environment is fun and relaxed while we aim to exceed our customers' expectations.

MASTIKA'S DESIGN

The design space, needed to reflect a joyful experience, a place where everyone feels comfortable and happy. What says happiness more, than a burst of colours?

We wanted a space that transports everyone to a dreamy location, which will allow you to forget about the troubles  and help release that inner child. Jungle of colours was inspired by the variety of our ice cream flavors, nature, the jungle, and the spirit of childhood. We used fun mirrors, rattan and a green backdrop to elevate the burst of colours that surrounds you, as you step into our Mastika world.

We wanted to be different, to deliver something unique and to create a place that you would want to come back to and share with your family and friends, again and again!
